LONELY FAME

There are those who seek fame
to hide a shame
Often to celebrate the body
There are those who seek fame
to voice a shame
unable to smother a soul
that whispers I am beyond this body
Then there are others
who shun fame
unable to beat the stone
a million strokes
to chisel a frame

Sharing a feeling
Hiding amidst letters
Are a million words
with out a name or rhyme
Perhaps best whispered to ears
that go red ..
Or seen by blurring eyes full of tears

There is a loneliness to fame
That is tangible when it shakes hands
with many hands that do not know a thing
about him except his fame
And a life lived
to please them…
